Destined to be a Lace smokering
Long dark days are ahead. winter is upon us. rejoice in all that is knitting.
I'm never without a scarf or smokering. A scarf really adds the finishing touches to your outfit all you have to do is colour coordinate & if you get it just right adds a little bit of pizazz to you & your clothes !
Now I'm not a white person. White on me makes me look Pasty ill, I'm more a Black person. I love rich dark colours, Moorit reds, browns & deep blues & solid Raven black etc. so if this smokering was going to be for me I would have to dye the yarn or dye the finished smokering to sooth my need for colour.
Voila.....here are the choices:
The dye really loves to soak into sheep wool. White sheep wool gives a true Brilliant vision of how absolutely wonderful colour can be.
From Left to Right: Turkey red, Hunter green, Mahogany, Copenhagen blue, Buttercup yellow Or Ocean Green. My personal favourite is the ocean green with its hint of colour variations
I can also do Black (not shown).

You get to choose. Will it be natural white as shown above or one of these rich colours ?
I will randomly draw out 2 winners each will receive a lace smokering knit in their choice of colour.
Awesome!!!! Love the Copenhagen blue!!! Hope I win!

I agree with you; that green is glorious!
ReplyDeleteA tough choice, they're all so gorgeous! But that deep, dark, hunter green just sings to me ...
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but I think I would choose the mahogany. Its so rich looking
ReplyDeleteI love smoke rings. I've made a few myself from wool and alpaca to give as gifts. Family members love them. Of course, I haven't kept any for myself, so one in Hunter Green would be frabjous!

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've ever seen a smoke ring! I love the white, so elegant :)
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I'm slowly improving in my lace knitting, but it requires so much more attention that I'm used to giving my knitting :-) So I drool over lace, knowing how hard it would be for me to make! I think I would leave it white. Thanks for the chance :-)
