All The Gang eating fresh second cut hay....nothing but the best for my lovelys ! We named the lambs after places in the shetland isles, Ronas, Vaila, Brae.......and more sheepies are soon to arrive, we will have a total of 10 ewe's and 2 rams, all purebred and registerd with the Shetland breed society of north America.

little ram lamb Brae !
Brae has really nice Horns ! I am feeding him extra grain/lamb grower so he gets big and strong !

Ronas a ewe lamb....always at the sweet-lix bloc ! She is so sweet and Docile and already coming to me when i call her.

The 1st batch of shetland wool. We spun this into a 4ply sock yarn 100 gram skeins. So far i have knit a pair of socks and hope to knit a Loop scarf next !
Have at least 15 skeins of this so will have to do a giveaway soon !

The yarn is soft and has a lot of other qualitys that i love.....memory, durability, shetland has a softness of hand that most other sheep wools don't have(except for merino) and the finished yarn has a aroma that i have missed.
Coming from the U.K, i have always been a big fan of sheep wool.

100% Shetland wool lacey cross top

Thought this was fun....shetland ponies in fair isle cardigans !

This is what my lambs do when there is no power on the fence.....Grass is always greener !
I now have 23 heads. Lots of lovely wool to come in September 2013.
I see socks, hats & sweaters when i look at them grazing !

Sheep barn. The barn is 40' X 170' feet long so i got lots of room for more Shetlands♥

    1. Hello Jody, sorry i did not see your comment before now. will have to find out why its not emailing me when comments come in !
I used to have some PB Finns....they are delightful little sheep & their wool is very light & airy and what i love most about the finn is the way it really takes the dye easy....colours are very bright and vibrant !
The Shetland sock yarn is lovely but to make it durable you need at least 30% quality Nylon added or the socks wear off inside work boots ! check back for my shetland sock wool post and giveaway !
